These cays represent many a sailor’s dreams of paradise. Geologically the are old reefs which have been uplifted to their present height of 60 feet. The sea has slowly
eroded them to produce intricate rocky sculptures of fascinating design. There is a perfect creamy white beach which melts into the sea in translucent shades of pale green, turquoise, blue and brown. There are excellent places to snorkel. lt is not worth venturing out here in unsettled conditions, in winds of more than 20 knots, or if there is a northerly swell. On the other hand, in settled light easterly or southeasterly winds, it makes a heavenly lunch stop. Overnighting is not currently allowed and could be a nightmare if weather conditions change.
