Sandy Island lies about a mile to the north of Anguilla, just before Road Bay, a circle of sand with a few baby palm trees.
There are both shoals and reefs here, so only approach in food light conditions.
A coral island about 5 feet high, is clearly visible to the northwest of Sandy island. The water around this island has many coral heads, especially in the direction of Sandy Island.
